Community involvement

Three concrete directions in which PowerGrid Solution gives something back to the areas where we work: technical education, sport at local level, mentoring for the next generation of engineers.

Directions

The areas we support

Three areas chosen on the basis of what we know how to do and of the people we are close to.

  • 01

    Technical education

Initiatives for laboratories and technical training. We publish the details only after the beneficiary and the PowerGrid team confirm them.

  • 02

    Sport at local level

Local initiatives documented through the materials received from the beneficiaries. The exact form of support is stated only after confirmation.

  • 03

    Mentoring and careers

The collaboration with students is under discussion. The activities and the calendar will be published once they are confirmed.

Criteria

What we look for in an initiative

We do not say yes to everything. We have four clear filters that we apply before deciding whether we get involved or not.

We apply the same criteria regardless of the size of the request
  1. 01

    Local, verifiable impact

The proposal has to identify the beneficiary, the objective and the expected result, so that the information published later can be verified.

  2. 02

    Aligned with our trade

We give priority to proposals in technical education, local sport and collaboration with students.

  3. 03

    Public transparency

We publish only the beneficiaries, the years, the photographs and the details we can back up with the materials and confirmations we have received.

  4. 04

    Documented assessment

Every proposal is analysed on the basis of the information submitted and receives a reasoned answer.

How we work

From request to delivery

01

Request or proposal

The beneficiary writes to us at [email protected] and states who they are, what they propose, when, why and with what budget.

02

Clarifying the proposal

If further information is needed, we talk to the representative of the organisation or to the person coordinating the initiative.

03

Internal decision

We answer within two weeks at the latest — yes or no, always with reasons.

04

Public update

After confirmation, we complete the page with the information, the year and the materials approved for publication.

Why we do this

Places worth living in

We work on documentation that takes years and on projects that affect networks with tens of thousands of users. The work makes sense if the people who come after us learn the trade better and faster.

And the places where we get to deliver remain places worth living in. This is not marketing, it is a decision we take year after year when we go through the list of requests.
